Privacy Policy.

What we collect, why we collect it, and how it's handled when you use the QuantStack website and strategies.

Overview

QuantStack ("we," "us," or "our") provides licensed automated trading strategies for the NinjaTrader 8 and MetaTrader 5 platforms. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website (quantstackai.com) and our licensing software, how we use it, and who we share it with. We collect only what we need to sell, license, and support our strategies.

Information we collect

  • Email address — when you subscribe, request a license, or contact us. We use it to deliver your license keys and download, send account and subscription notices, and respond to support requests.
  • Payment information — collected and processed entirely by our payment processor, Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number, CVC, or bank details. We retain a Stripe customer and subscription identifier so we can tie an active subscription to your licenses.
  • License and machine data — when you activate a strategy, our software sends a license key and a machine identifier (a one-way SHA-256 hash derived from your operating system's machine GUID) so a license can be bound to a single machine. We cannot reverse this hash to identify your computer beyond license enforcement.
  • MetaTrader 5 account data — when you activate a MetaTrader 5 strategy, our software also sends your MT5 trading account number and your broker's server name, which we use to bind your license to that account and to check that it is valid. We never receive your trading password or your trades.
  • Free access requests — if you ask for free access through the Ultima Markets referral, we collect your email address and MT5 account number, and use them to confirm the account was opened through our referral link, to issue and bind your license key, and to end access if the account leaves the referral.
  • Technical data — when your software activates or checks in, and when you submit a form, we log the request's IP address and timestamp. We use this for security, abuse prevention, and rate limiting.

How we use your information

  • To issue, deliver, activate, and validate your license keys.
  • To provide the software download and product updates tied to your keys.
  • To process subscriptions and enforce access — licenses are automatically suspended if a subscription is cancelled or a payment fails.
  • To respond to support inquiries and send essential service notices.
  • To protect our systems from fraud and abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Payment processing

Payments are handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. When you check out, your payment details are submitted directly to Stripe. Their use of your information is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.

Cookies and tracking

Our marketing website does not set advertising cookies. We use PostHog, a product analytics service, to understand how visitors use the site: which pages they view, how far they scroll, which buttons they click, and which campaign or link brought them here. PostHog stores a random identifier in your browser (cookie or local storage) and may record anonymised session replays in which form fields are masked. We do not send your name or email address to PostHog from the website. If you complete a purchase, we send PostHog a purchase event linked to that anonymous identifier, without your email address. We honour your browser's Do Not Track setting by not loading analytics. The checkout flow is hosted by Stripe, which may use cookies necessary to process your payment and prevent fraud. When you sign in to your account page, we store a sign-in token in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in for up to 30 days; signing out removes it.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers to operate QuantStack:

  • Cloudflare — website hosting, license database storage, and transactional email delivery.
  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
  • PostHog — website analytics and session replay.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.

Data retention

We retain your email, license records, and subscription identifiers for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide support, meet legal and accounting obligations, and enforce our licenses. Activation and check-in logs are retained on a rolling basis for security purposes. You may request deletion of your personal data as described below, subject to records we are required to keep.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To make a request, email us at support@quantstackai.com and we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Children

QuantStack is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
